So last night they launched a new channel on the Wii: Check Mii Out. The basic concept is that you can post your Mii to the Wii intertubes to be judged by fellow wagglers. You can also look at and grab other people's Miis. It's only slightly more useful than the Everybody Votes channel.


When you first load it up, you'll notice that every Mii is only referenced by initials. Why? Fuck if I know. Maybe so you can play the "what the fuck it that supposed to be?" game. I guess it doesn't matter though since every other fuckin' Mii is Jesus Christ or Micheal Jackson!


Seriously. What the fuck is your problem, people?!


There were very few creative uses of the Mii system (which could be a LOT more robust, but whatever--it's not like the Wii has ever been know to raise the bar)...and the few I saw seemed to have copies which tells me that they just got it from some how-to website. Still, someone drawing Kirby with a Mii's face is kinda cool.



You want to give me a useful channel? Update the news channel to let me subscribe to RSS feeds or something. Come out with those "indie games" you've been promising since launch....that we can't probably even play since you only have system memory to work with and refuse to allow us to have external HDD. Hell, what about a fuckin' update that'll allow background downloads so I don't have to watch Mario collect coins for a half hour when I could be doing shit.
